Tasting Note Information:
Tasting Description:
This wine is pure Pinot Noir - vivid fruit with balanced tannins with a supple, velvety texture. It starts with vibrant color and offers aromas of cherries and fresh backyard raspberries. The flavors are a focused combination of black plum and blueberry with subtle notes of cedar. A wonderful wine to complement a wide range of cuisine.Vintage Note:
2011 provided a vintage of extremes - the growing season was the latest and coolest in Oregon history except bud break, which started earlier than average with a big set. The very cool growing season called for more attention to vineyard management with additional hand-labor efforts needed for canopy management vine work. Dry weather held with a late-October through mid-November harvest. Overall quality was high, with phenolic ripeness and balanced sugar levels.Vineyard Sourcing:
